Description

KNG-180 Graphene Nanoplatelets

(Specialized for Thermally Conductive Polymers)

KNG-180 is available with average particle diameters of microns.

KNG-180 graphene nanoplatelets are stacks of multi-layered graphene sheets specially tailored to improve the thermal conductivity and electrical conductivity of polymers.

The KNG-180 modified polymer composites display a remarkable improvement in thermal conductivity and thermal radiation, and are electrically conductive providing inherent antistatic, EMI/RFI shielding characteristics. Incorporating 30wt% KNG-180 into PA66, the thermal conductivity of the composite beyond 2.0 W/mK; and when the KNG-180 loading reaches 40wt%, the thermal conductivity is even higher than 4.0W/mK.

Graphene is the name given to a one-atomic-thick, two dimensional (2D) layer of graphite with carbon atoms arranged in a six-numbered-ring plane.

Graphene nanoplatelets is consisted of more than ten carbon layers, the thickness of graphene is ranging from 5-100 nm. Graphene nanoplatelets have high aspect ratio (width–to–thickness) in structure feature which leading to great advantages in forming the conducting network in a polymer matrix.
